Introduction to the Elementary Program Minimize

 Welcome!

The Elementary Education Site provides families, community members and staff updates on the elementary school program, curriculum, assessment and instruction.

It also provides parents with information on summer learning and our standards-based report card. The entire elementary teaching staff is dedicated to the Hudson Public Schools’ mission to promote the intellectual, ethical, civic, and social development of students through a challenging instructional program and a caring classroom and school environment.

The Hudson Public Schools’ staff is comprised of individuals who are invested in helping children succeed in all areas of life. For the faculty, teaching is not merely a job rather it is a way of life. When you have the opportunity to visit our schools in person, I am certain you will be impressed by the genuine enthusiasm that emanates from our staff as they guide students on the journey that will lead them to be happy and productive members of society.

Our students are wonderful and unique individuals who are actively engaged in learning. They are curious about the world around them. We strive to provide them with learning activities that are characterized by dynamic inquiry that helps them to make sense of that world. We want to provide educational opportunities that guide our children to become responsible citizens in a democratic society.

I hope that you will have the opportunity to drop by and visit us soon, but until then I hope you find the information you need on our website. Check back often for new updates and information. If you have questions about the Elementary Curriculum please do not hesitate to contact me. Enjoy your virtual visit.

Sincerely,

Karen Martin
