Six students competed in the 60th Worcester Regional Science and Engineering Fair on Friday, March 13, 2015. Sophomore Samantha Joubran received a second place award with her project entitled "Extracting Biologically Active Compounds in Apple Peels." Senior Bethany Keene got an honorable mention award for her project "The Effects of Therapy Dogs on Human Blood Pressure." Other presenters were team projects--Seema Patel (10th grade) and Sydney DuBois (12th grader) whose project was "Child Restraint Caps" and 10th graders Nate Siktberg and Sam Tipps, "Water Degradable Alternative plastic". The State science fair competition will be held on May 1, 2015.
