I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jason Webster as the next Quinn Middle School Principal. Mr. Webster is a resident of Marlborough and has served as Assistant Principal of the Beebe School in the Malden Public Schools since 2011. He was Assistant Principal at the Hopkinton (MA) Middle School from 2008-2011, and taught mathematics at the middle school and high school levels in Marlborough from 2002-2008. Mr. Webster earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Maine at Farmington and a Master of Arts in Education Administration from Worcester State College
The process of selecting the next Principal of the Quinn School started several months ago with the formation of a Selection Committee that included teachers, parents, and administrators. The Committee was chaired by Hudson High School Principal Brian Reagan. The Committee completed two searches after the first search and review and interview of candidates did not produce finalists. At the completion of the second search process, the Committee forwarded two very qualified finalists to the Superintendent for consideration. The finalists received multiple interviews, a Hudson team visited both of their schools and each finalist spent a morning at QMS. A Finalists Forum was held on Thursday June 12th that was well-attended. Written feedback was collected at all school visits and at the Finalist Forum which was also shown live on HUD-TV. Extensive reference checking was conducted over a two-week period.
Mr. Webster has a passion for middle school, is a strong believer in school community building and staff development, and comes highly recommended by his present district as a parent and community-focused educator. I believe that he is a great addition to our District administrative team and that he will excel in providing the leadership necessary to continue the forward momentum of the Quinn Middle School.
