QMS Principal Finalists Announced - Public Forum Thursday 6/12

The David J. Quinn Middle School Principal Selection Committee, chaired by Hudson High School Principal Brian K. Reagan, interviewed six candidates determined to be very qualified for the position. One candidate withdrew and two finalists are now competing for the position.

The two finalists are Mark R. Hollick of Hudson, MA and Jason P. Webster of Marlborough, MA.

Mark R. Hollick serves presently as Principal at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, a position he has held since December of 2008. He served as Assistant Principal there from 2003-2008. He taught Physical Education at Assabet Valley from 1996-2003. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Bridgewater State University in 1992 and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Framingham State University in 2005. Mr. Hollick is currently licensed in Massachusetts as a VocTech Principal/Assistant Principal, 9-14 and Principal/Assistant Principal 5-8.

Jason P. Webster serves presently as Assistant Principal of The Beebe School in Malden (MA), a position he has held since 2011. He served previously as Assistant Principal at Hopkinton Middle School from 2008-2011.  He taught mathematics at Marlborough High School from 2006-2008 and Marlborough Middle School from 2002-2006. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from University of Maine at Farmington in May, 2000 and a Master of Education in Education Administration from Worcester State College in 2006. Mr. Webster is currently licensed in Massachusetts as a Principal/Assistant Principal, PK-6 and 5-8 and 9-12.

 Finalists are interviewing with Superintendent of Schools Kevin M. Lyons and Central Office Administration this week.  Finalists will visit Quinn Middle School for a day this week where each will participate in meetings with staff, parents, and students. A Hudson site visit team will interview staff, students, and parents at each finalist’s school this week. Extensive reference checking will be conducted during the process.

 A forum for the public to meet both candidates will be held on Thursday evening, June 12th, at 6:30 p.m., at the Quinn Middle School. Parents, staff, and community are invited to attend and provide feedback on the finalists.

Dr. Lyons hopes to announce the name of the next Principal of the David J. Quinn Middle School on or before Monday, June 16, 2014.
