Starting the 2020-2021 school year all students will be issued a device. Students are expected to take the device home on a daily basis and bring it back to school the next day fully charged and ready to be used.
Parents are encouraged to set up a charging station in their homes to help students remember to charge their devices each night.

Process for Collecting the HPS Protocol for District Issued Chromebooks Electronically
Dear Parents and Guardians
This year the district will be distributing devices to all students enrolled in Hudson Public Schools grades K-12. The purpose of this email is to provide families with information on device distribution, Aspen Parent Portal accounts, and how to request assistance for Internet access.
Device Distribution

Devices will be distributed by each school starting on September 10, 2020. Each school will be sending the distribution schedule times and process to their parents on how to pick up the device issued to their child.

Parents in Grades K-4, 5, and 9 and families new to Hudson Public Schools must complete the HPS Protocol for the Use of District Issued Devices for Students in Grades K-12 Agreement form. The form can be completed using this link - Device Loaner Form.

We have updated our 1:1 Technology information on the district website. We encourage parents to review the material posted. If you have any questions, please contact the Director of Technology.
Internet Assistance
The district is able to provide Internet access assistance to qualifying families. If you need assistance, please fill out the Internet Access Assistance Form. Qualifying families will be notified on how to pick up the mobile “hotspot” when it is ready. These devices are being loaned to families for the 2020-2021 school year and must be returned at the end of June 2021 or if the family leaves the district.
Aspen Parent Portal Accounts
The district uses Follett’s Aspen software as their student information database. All parents of students enrolled in Hudson Public Schools are encouraged to set up an account. Your access to Aspen will allow you to receive notifications and emails, review grades, schedules, assignments, and attendance information for your child.
